en-LE HAVRE - Patrimonio Mondiale dell'Umanità

Ho pensato di creare un post su questa città, in quanto a mio avviso non merita la pubblicazione unitaria di foto su qualche social network, ma piuttosto un maggiore approfondimento.
Le Havre è una città Francese di 179.783 abitanti situata nel dipartimento della Senna Marittima nella regione della Alta-Normandia.
Appena arrivato a Le Havre, il centro storico mi è sembrato quasi una banlieu Parigina, ma passeggiando tra le vie mi sono reso conto che c'era qualcosa di più.
Le Havre è stata quasi totalmente distrutta durante la seconda Guerra Mondiale.Rue de Paris
Più precisamente dal 1940 al 1944 ci sono stati 132 bombardamenti che hanno fatto 5000 vittime, distrutto 10 palazzi e 2500 palazzi abbattuti per inagibilità.....per un totale di 3 MILIONI di metri cubi di macerie.Il 5 Settembre 1944 la Germania avvia l'operazione "Tabula Rasa" durante la quale 150 ettari del centro vengono polverizzati uccidendo altri 3000 civili.Finita la guerra la città dovette essere ricostruita rapidamente e l'arduo compito fu affidato all'Architetto Auguste Perret, maestro di Le Corbusier.
Dal 2005 il Centro Storico di Le Havre è Patrimonio dell'Umanità, di seguito la motivazione dell'UNESCO:"The city of Le Havre, on the English Channel in Normandy, was severely bombed during the Second World War. The destroyed area was rebuilt according to the plan of a team headed by Auguste Perret, from 1945 to 1964. The site forms the administrative, commercial and cultural centre of Le Havre. Le Havre is exceptional among many reconstructed cities for its unity and integrity. It combines a reflection of the earlier pattern of the town and its extant historic structures with the new ideas of town planning and construction technology. It is an outstanding post-war example of urban planning and architecture based on the unity of methodology and the use of prefabrication, the systematic utilization of a modular grid, and the innovative exploitation of the potential of concrete."
